EUSA Reception held in Salerno during EUG 2026
As part of the European Universities Games 2026 programme, the European University Sports Association (EUSA) hosted its traditional Reception on July 19 at the historic Tempio di Pomona in Salerno, bringing together members of the European university sport community in a welcoming and relaxed setting.
The reception welcomed representatives of National University Sports Associations (NUSAs), distinguished guests, local hosts, members of the EUSA Executive Committee, EUSA staff, and numerous representatives of the wider EUSA family.
The gathering provided an opportunity for participants from across Europe to reconnect, strengthen existing relationships, and establish new ones beyond the sporting venues.

Throughout the evening, guests exchanged experiences, shared stories and memories from previous EUSA events, and reflected on the continued growth of European university sport. The informal atmosphere, complemented by local hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a live musical performance, created the perfect setting for networking and celebrating the values that unite the university sport movement.

The attendees were welcomed by EUSA President Haris Pavletic, who expressed his appreciation to the Organising Committee and the hosts for their dedication to delivering the European Universities Games. In his address, he highlighted the importance of bringing the EUSA family together, emphasising that the Games are not only a celebration of sporting excellence, but also of friendship, cooperation, and the lasting connections built through university sport.

The EUSA Reception once again reaffirmed the strong sense of community that defines the Association, offering a valuable opportunity for representatives from across Europe to come together, celebrate shared achievements, and look ahead to the continued development of university sport.
