European Students Run

Next edition: October 17-18 - Ljubljana, Slovenia

European Students Run 2026 is an initiative of the European University Sports Association (EUSA). It is a legacy of the Runners4All project, co-funded by the European Commission.

In cooperation with Timing Ljubljana and the City of Ljubljana as the official hosts and organisers, the 2026 edition will be held as part of the 30th NLB Ljubljana Marathon on October 17 and 18, 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Races are available for male and female students in 10 km, 21 km (half marathon) and 42 km (full marathon) run distances. Students categories runs are part of the general marathon event, being fully integrated into the main event.

For student discount, please make sure you first register at the EUSA Portal, where you create a profile and verify your academic eligibility. This needs to be done before September 1, 2026. Regardless of the nationality, only students aged 18-30 pursuing their studies at a higher education institution in Europe in the academic year 2025-26, or those who have graduated in the current or preceding calendar year (2026 or 2025) are legible for a discount code, and take part in the European Student Run. Failing to meet this requirement, the registered participants may take part in the regular marathon races, not being legible for a student discount. 

The official registration at the European Students Run needs to be done at the NLB Ljubljana Marathon website before September 15, 2026. In order to participate also in the category of the European Students Run, the students need to select the students run option in the registration process, and finalise the payment.

Special student discount fee will be applied only if the individualised non-transferrable code obtained after academic verification in the EUSA Portal is entered before the payment is finalised. The code can only be applied once, for the student run category. No refunds will be given. See Registrations and Regulations for details.
