Runners4All project partners discuss final steps
On April 14, 2026, Runners4All project partners met online to review progress and prepare for the final steps of the project, which concludes at the end of June 2026.
The meeting included an update on the project’s current status, with partners presenting their progress and confirming next steps for final reporting. Key attention was given to the final online conference, scheduled for June 9, 2026, where the main project outcomes will be presented.

These include a comprehensive set of educational materials and practical guidelines for future running event organisers, covering areas such as event management, educational models, and volunteer coordination.

In addition to project closure, attention was given to future initiatives. The European Students Run event continues to grow as a key legacy activity of the project. Following the successful first edition, which engaged 1,922 student participants, preparations for the second edition are already underway.
Details about the event taking place in Ljubljana in October 2026, with races scheduled for October 17 (10 km) and October 18 (21 km and 42 km), were given by EUSA Director Sports Events, Liam Smith. Registration is currently open, with a deadline set for September 15. Student discount codes are available for legible participants at https://run2026.eusa.eu.

Information on the bidding procedure for the 2027 and 2028 editions of the European Students Run has also been shared by the European University Sports Association, and is already open.
The importance of maintaining communication and continuing educational workshops at universities was highlighted, ensuring the project’s long-term impact in promoting active lifestyles among students.

The Runners4All project, co-funded by the European Union, is now entering its final phase, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outputs and ensuring a lasting impact within the university sports community.
