Welcome session for K2S volunteers

Welcome session for K2S volunteers

Within the scope of the project Future volunteers - Key to success is Generation Z (K2S-GenZ), an online welcome session for the selected volunteers was held on May 11.

The online event started with the greetings and sharing key information regarding the project, followed by an introduction of the volunteers. Also all the partner organisations - MEAFC, EUSA and its Institute, and MEFS gave a brief presentations.

K2S project activities

The selected volunteers will start their in-person trainings by taking part in the Hungarian university multi-sport event MEFOB Festival, held next week in Miskolc; and followed by the volunteering experiences in July at the large international university multi-sport event, the European Universities Games Lodz 2022.

Participants at the meeting

MEFOB Festival is the largest festival of the Hungarian university sports, where 8 national university championships will be organised at the same time, supplemented by several leisure events. With this event, we would like to create a tradition to show what strength and energy the students have, as well as to draw the student’s attention for the importance of active life and the community-forming power of sports. Miskolc and the University of Miskolc will co-host the European Universities Games in 2024 in cooperation with Debrecen and the University of Debrecen. It is an important step of the preparation for the Games that Miskolc will host the MEFOB Festival this year and Debrecen in 2023.

Project presentation

The small-scale cooperation partnership project involves three organisations from two countries - Sports Club of Miskolc University (MEAFC) and Hungarian University Sports Federation (HUSF/MEFS) from Hungary and the EUSA Institute from Slovenia. The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
