VolFair project partners meet in Tilburg

Partners of the Erasmus+ funded project VolFair - Be(ach) Volunteer, Be(ach) Fair! gathered in Tilburg, in the Netherlands during the Camelot Beach Handball Tournament, for a meeting on May 28th.

The main objective of the project is to improve the volunteer policy and enlarge the volunteer satisfaction at beach handball tournaments in such a way that it simultaneously develops the current volunteers, increases the amount of new volunteers and extends the period of volunteering for both of them. The project also aims to exchange knowledge about volunteering systems and improve volunteer policies by using the benefits of beach handball with a strong emphasis on fair play.

The meeting was hosted by the Students Sports Association the Netherlands, which welcomed representatives of the partner organizations from Croatia - Beach Handball Club Zagreb; Slovenia - EUSA Institute and Poland - University Sports Association of Poland. Present on behalf of EUSA Institute was Assistant Sports Manager, Mr.Mariano Carcatella.

At the event among the present, was also Mr. Marco Trespidi (EUSA Beach Handball Technical Delegate Assistant) and the EHF Beach Handball Manager, Mr.Tobia Pisani, who has also joined the VolFair meeting and confirmed the participation interest of EHF in the project. On this event there was also a discusion on how to implement the new website ( https://beachvolunteers.com ) that will allow volunteers to easily find the next BeachHandall events and participate in them.
Participants of the meeting had also the opportunity to watch spectacular matches of the Camelot Beach Handball Tournament, held in Tilburg Spoorpark, with a total of 21 Men's Teams and 21 Women's Teams, coming from all over the world.

The next meeting is planned during the European Universities Games (EUG) 2022 in Lodz, where representatives of all organizations will have the opportunity to be at the biggest European multisport student event and promote volunteering at beach-handball events.
