VolFair and Uni4S project meetings in Lodz

VolFair and Uni4S project meetings in Lodz

On July 24th and 25th, the EUSA Institute participated in two different projects meetings hosted by the University Sports Association of Poland, in Lodz, Poland.

The first meeting was Volfair – Be(ach) Volunteer, Be(ach) Fair! The main objective of the project is to improve the volunteer policy and enlarge the volunteer satisfaction at beach handball tournaments in such a way that it simultaneously develops the current volunteers, increases the number of new volunteers and extends the period of volunteering for both of them. The project also aims to exchange knowledge about volunteering systems and improve volunteer policies by using the benefits of beach handball with a strong emphasis on fair play.

Project partners had the chance to visit the venue of the EUG2022 beach handball competition. The meeting was being held while EUG volunteers were playing an initiation match.
Discussions mainly focused on the distribution of the survey to the beach handball volunteers. The future analysis of the survey will allow to have a good overview of volunteer’s experience, point of views and expectation in beach handball events.

The next day on July 25th, another meeting focused on the (Uni)ted forces to support the education of (Uni)versity sport comm(Uni)ty (Uni4S) project. The Uni4S project aims to create educational opportunities for staff working in university sport associations.
Firstly, project partners had the chance to go on a sightseeing of the event and to watch the beach handball finals of the EUG2022.
