Uni4S concluded with a meeting in the Netherlands

On the 11th of June, the last in-person meeting between the (Uni)ted forces to support the education of (Uni)versity sport comm(Uni)ty project partners took place in Wageningen, in the Netherlands with a combined multiple sports event. 

The GNSK, a multisport event for university students was organized on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of June 2023, student athletes from all student cities in the Netherlands competed for the title of Dutch Student Champion in 14 different sports. 

With more than 2000 athletes, coaches, and volunteers, the Great Dutch Student Championship (GNSK) is one of the Netherlands' most significant and biggest student sports events. Student Sports Association Netherlands has organized it for the 63rd time this year in the student city of Wageningen.

During the last Uni4S project meeting, Ms Marianna Pikul, the Projects Coordinator for AZS, shortly introduced the Uni4s and gave a better overview of the tasks that have been accomplished since the project started in 2021 and the final steps. The final version of the guidebook and the summary of the topics that were covered in the previous meetings were also discussed between the partners.

Mr Andrej Pisl, EUSA Communications, and Projects Manager shared his expertise on the promotion of the project on social media platforms and expressed his optimism for the future of the project as it could serve as a basis for other Erasmus+ projects which are founded by the European Union and focus on creating and providing employees of university sport organizations educational opportunities.

At the end of the meeting after the closing words, Kevin van Loon, the Associaton Coordinator of the Student Sports Association Netherlands who organized the GSNK 2023 Wageningen multiple sports event, invited the partners to visit the different sport venues and attend competition finals in Powerlifting, Volleyball, Basketball, and Gymnastics.

The three-year project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, is coordinated by University Sports Association of Poland (POL) alongside project partners University Sports Association of Warsaw (POL), Student Sports Netherlands (NED) and the EUSA Institute (SLO).
