Two scholarship opportunities available through FISU

World university sports governing body FISU, through its Education Department, have announced two exciting scholarship opportunities available for students interested in studying in Asia.

FISU, together with the School of International Education, Capital University of Physical Education and Sports (CUPES) in Beijing, China have provided an excellent opportunity for a worthy candidate eager to continue their studies in China.

The scholarship supports master’s students and only covers major study for the year 2020-2021, and will cover tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.

The scholarship is available to students situated in FISU’s Belt and Road, which includes 20 EUSA member countries, namely Albania, Bosnia , Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia , Slovenia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova.

As minimum requirements, candidates must have a higher education diploma, must be no more than 35 years old when applying, must be a citizen of a country along the Belt and Road and speak Chinese (HSK 4 diploma) or be ready to study Chinese for one year before starting the programme.

Achievements in sport, education and social activity, especially in FISU events, are highly appreciated, with preference given to top level athletes.

Application documents have been made available to all FISU Member and Continental Associations, and all applications should be sent to the FISU Education & Development Department (education@fisu.net) with “CUPES Scholarship 2020” in the mail subject, by March 13.

The second scholarship is part of the Dream Together Master programme, a full scholarship graduate programme funded by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO).

FISU presents candidates for this scholarship every year, giving interested candidates the opportunity to hone sports management skills in a multicultural environment at the Seoul National University in Korea.

All necessary information about the scholarship and application forms can be found here, as well as the list of countries on List of Official Development Aid Recipients provided by the Development Assistance Committee, from where interested candidates must hail.

All student application forms must be sent to the FISU Education Department at education@fisu.net by February 28, with ‘DTM Scholarship 2020’ mentioned in the mail subject.
