Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has received a prestigious award, in the Erasmus+ Excellence category of the "European Universities – Alliances of the Future” competition, on May 15, 2023 at Mercury Hotel Warsaw Centrum.

The prize was received by the Rector of TUL prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

The aim of this competition is to select the most inspiring and active Polish universities operating within the alliances of universities and to promote the initiative and importance of European Universities for the Polish and European Economy.

The competition included several categories such as:  personality, innovations, cooperation with the socio-economic environment, Erasmus+ Excellence and support for Ukraine.

The competition was organised as part of the Conference of European Universities, consisted of interesting sessions and debates on the topic of synergy of European higher education with an ambitious vision of the European educational area and a European research space with an innovative, competitive and global character.

TUL is also a strong advocate and promotor of sport. Besides hosting the EUG2022 last year, they are also hosting an International 3x3 Basketball Tournament this year and have been hosting several national events as well.
