Triple whistle for EUC Football 2025 in Camerino

The European Universities Football Championship Camerino 2025 has finally concluded on Sunday, August 3, with an exciting Closing Ceremony at the University Sport Centre of Camerino in Livio Luzi Stadium.

The ceremony brought together athletes, volunteers, organisers, and fans in a joyful celebration of achievement, friendship, and sporting excellence.
Over 600 participants from 21 Universities from 14 countries took part in this year’s edition of the event.

This diverse representation made the Championship a true display of European unity through sport, with numerous languages, cultures, and traditions converging on one stage.

In the men’s finals, the title of champion/s went to West University of Timisoara (ROU), who won a thrilling final match against the University of Granada (ESP).

In the women’s finals, the title of champion/s went to the University of Wurzburg (GER), which won an exciting final German match against the University of Frankfurt (GER).

Both matches delivered intense competition, loud crowds, and emotional moments, creating memories that will last a lifetime for players and spectators alike.

The medals and awards were presented by Stefano Belardinelli, President of the Organising Committee and of CUS Camerino; Graziano Leoni, Rector of the University of Camerino; and Roberto Lucarelli, Mayor of Camerino, along with representatives from various local institutions in Camerino and neighbouring municipalities.

EUSA was represented by Treasurer Francis Cirianni, Technical Delegate Andreas Demetriou, Assistant Technical Delegate Ignacio Peralta Contreras, Projects & Policy Director Andrej Pisl, and volunteer Jan Hussu.

Additional distinctions, such as MVP, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, and the Fair Play Award, were also distributed to honour outstanding individuals and teams.
The EUSA flag was passed to the Organising Committee of the European Universities Championship Football Porto 2027. This symbolic moment marked the official end of this year's Championship and passed on the responsibility and excitement to the next host city.

Throughout the Championship, the competition was marked not only by top-level performance but also by strong values of sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and mutual respect.

The dedicated volunteer team of over 80 local and international students played a key role in ensuring that the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
Audiences also enjoyed cultural side events, local hospitality, and the celebratory spirit that surrounded the city during the Championship.

From stunning comebacks to new records and surprise victories, this year's edition brought countless unforgettable moments both on and off the field.
The next EUC Football will take place in Porto, Portugal, during the summer of 2027, with all the teams warmly welcomed to join the next EUSA Championship.
