Three more General Technical Meetings were held today

Number of teams on the European Universities Games 2018 is increasing everyday and today we have athletes from three more competitions – 3x3 basketball, para table tennis and rowing. Representatives from all teams were introduced with the rules and regulations and the draw was made.

At the beginning of every GTM all representatives heard the opening speech by Mr Mario Santos, General Secretary of the Organizing Committee, after which EUSA Sports Director Mr Besim Aliti and OC Sports Director Ms Filipa Godinho introduced all representatives with all necessary information about the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the European Universities Games 2018 (EUG18).

Representatives of 24 men and 16 women teams were present at the General Technical Meeting for 3x3 Basketball which was the first event of the day.

Team lead by Chair of the Competition Commission for 3x3 Basketball Mr Milan Zvan, with EUSA Technical Delegate Mr Ilan Kowalski, Assistant Technical Delegate Ms Jeanine Tjin-a-Sioe and National Technical Delegate Mr Rui Nazario presented rules and regulations of the tournament and the draw was made. Only sport of the EUG 2018 that includes athletes with dissabilities is table tennis and 12 para table tennis players had the General Technical Meeting, met the rules and all

Chair of the Competition Commission for Table Tennis Mr Andrzej Hrehorowicz, EUSA Technical Delegate Mr Matija Krnc, Assistant Technical Delegate Ms Ekaterina Ovsiannikova and National Technical Delegate Mr Sergio Castanheira,  introduced to the representatives the system of the competition, along with the rules and regulations, and a draw has been made.

Rowing is one the sports with the most athletes competing for the title and one of two sports that will take place in a nearby city of Montemor-o-Velho. Total of 420 athletes from 80 different universities will compete and their representatives were at the last General Technical Meeting of the day.

EUSA Executive Committee member Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas as the Chair of the Competition Commission for Handball, EUSA Technical Delegate Mr Josip Kostelic, Assistant Technical Delegate Ms Agata Masalska-Pawlak and the National Technical Delegate Mr Luís Maricato, introduced to the representatives the system of the competition, along with the rules and regulations.
