Successful Effective Customer Service Communication Training

Successful Effective Customer Service Communication Training

Between October 21 and December 2, 2022, an Effective Customer Service Communication training course took place online, accredited by the Hungarian adult education system, done within the scoop of the project “Future volunteers - Key to success is Generation Z (K2S-GenZ)”.

During a sports event, volunteers act as mediators between the organizers and the participants, they are the face of the event and in that matter effective communication is a key element of successful teamwork and proper team dynamics. It is important that the volunteers and organizers have adequate communication skills, and it is worth putting a lot of emphasis on this during their preparation and training.

A 16-hour Effective customer service communication training course, accredited in the Hungarian adult education system took place online between October 21 and December 2. This training was conducted in English, having the participants meeting online through 5 sessions of the training. Six volunteers accepted the opportunity, so the training group of 10 people was filled with the future volunteer coordinators of the partner organizations. In this training EUSA was represented by Ms Hristina Hristova, EUSA Communication Officer.

Through this training the participants learned about communication pitfalls and how to avoid them, as well as how to apply conflict management strategies and gain knowledge about the motivational backgrounds of different age groups. In addition, through situational exercises, a number of digital tools were integrated into the course, which interactively helped the work and increased the activity of the participants.

In accordance with the objectives of the project, during the training, the participants solved a number of group tasks and situational exercises, which specifically exemplified situations that arise during volunteering and sports events.

The small-scale cooperation partnership of the project „Future Volunteers – Key to Success is Generation Z” (K2S - GenZ) is co-funded by teh European Union and involves three organisations from two countries - Sports Club of Miskolc University (MEAFC) and Hungarian University Sports Federation (HUSF/MEFS) from Hungary and the Institute of the European University Sports Association from Slovenia.
