SSUU and EUSA Presidents meet in Wroclaw

On invitation of the President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Adam Roczek, the President of Sports Students' Union of Ukraine (SSUU) and Rector of the National University of Sport and Physical Education in Kiev Mr Yevheniy Imas visited Wroclaw on January 23.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss recent development in SSUU and share the plans for the future. The Ukrainian governing university sports body wishes to bring a large delegation to the European Universities Games 2020 in Belgrade, and expects to be at the podium among the best three most successful national university sports associations. Initial talks with authorities concerning potential bid to host the European Universities Games 2026 in Kiev have already been launched.

At the occasion of the visit, Mr Imas also met with the Vice President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Mr Marian Dymalski and paid visit to the Academy of Physical Education and Sport where he met the Rector Mr Andrzej Rokita.

President Roczek expressed his appreciation for all the contribution given by SSUU to the development of European university sport and invited a SSUU delegation to attend the next meeting of the EUSA Executive Committee, to be held at the beginning of April in Belgrade.
