Results published: 2018 Call for proposals Exchanges and mobility in sport

The European Commission published today the results of the preparatory actions call "Exchanges and mobility in sport" EAC/S15/2018. We are extremely pleased and honoured to announced that EUSA Institute is one of the 7 recipients of the project funding!

This preparatory action aims to contribute to the efforts of sport organisations by supporting the learning mobility of their staff. Exchanges of people, ideas and good practices can be beneficial for the individuals, for their organisations and for sport and society as a whole. The total budget for this call for proposals for the Erasmus+ Sport actions was EUR 1.2 million.
This project is co-financed by the European Union
Sport is a powerful tool, bringing people together at international, national, regional and local levels, and developing people-to-people contacts. Cooperation, partnerships and exchanges at grassroots level - inside the European Union (EU) as well as with non-EU countries - can contribute to the development of new skills and positively influence societal changes. Moreover, sport organisations at all levels are by nature open to international cooperation.

The project "Supporting Mobility and Good Practice Exchange in University Sport" will run for the period of 24 months, starting in January 2019. Through this project EUSA will support learning mobility and exchanges while promoting the international dimension of sport, targeting management of university sport in general, as well as organisation of sports events on national and international/European level. The project links EUSA Institute as the applicant, national university sports bodies and universities in three countries - organisers of EUG 2018, 2020 and 2022: Portugal, Serbia and Poland, as well as a National Olympic Committee as an expert body. Through the exchange scheme of sport management staff in form of practical study visits, trainings and job-shadowing on one hand and seminars and knowledge transfers on the other, we would like to strengthen the competences and qualifications of the partners and their staff, develop international cooperation, encourage similar exchanges within our networks and contribute towards European network of skilled sport staff. In addition, we will include modern technologies as powerful innovative tool for collaboration, knowledge sharing and management. The outcomes will be presented at educational and sports events, and as guidelines, available to all sport events organisers, benefiting university sport bodies and sport movement in general.
