Prime Minister chairs EUG2020 OC meeting

Serbian Prime Minister Ms Ana Brnabic was present to chair the constitutional session of the Board for the organisation of the fifth European Universities Games, held in the Government of Serbia in Belgrade.

At the meeting, the remaining structures of the Executive Committee for EUG2020 was formalised, confirming the operative body that will be responsible for the preparation, coordination and the organisation of next year’s Games.

Others matters discussed at the meeting was the latest EUG2020 progress report, financial plan and operational plan for the upcoming months.

Members of the board also discussed organisational matters, most importantly security and health issues ahead of next year’s event, which is now just 251 days away.

The EUG2020 Organising Committee will this week host another important Supervision Commission meeting, taking place in Belgrade from November 7-9. This comes a little over three weeks before registrations for next year’s Games open on December 1.


Over 5 000 participants from over 400 universities are expected to be part of next year’s event, taking place between July 12-25 in Belgrade, with 21 sporting disciplines forming part of the official programme.
