Preparatory meeting for the EUSA General Assembly

Preparatory meeting for the EUSA General Assembly

Following the Executive Committee meeting last week, the Office of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) hosted a working meeting on August 9, in preparations for the upcoming EUSA General Assembly.

Mr Bruno Barracosa, who will chair the General Assembly, travelled to Ljubljana, meeting EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik and EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek, reviewing the procedures and preparations for the event.

The events in Budapest will be held on September 10 and 11, 2021. The Assembly will also feature the EUSA Executive Committee Meeting and EUSA-FISU Strategic Dialogue.

The upcoming Assembly will be especially important as it is an electoral one, where the EUSA members' delegates will vote on the new Executive Committee to lead the organisation for the next four-year period. With the change in the EUSA statutes and internal documents, the delegates of the member associations will be able to elect for the first time a student as a voting member of the Executive Committee and have a chance to elect a more gender balanced Executive Committee.

The Assembly documents will be published tomorrow, and will be made available to EUSA members. Additional information about the event can be found online at https://budapest2021.eusa.eu.
