On Tuesday, September 29, EUSA held an online meeting with the communications team of FISU America, the continental body responsible for university sport in the Americas.

Representing EUSA were Salvatore Sisca, Head of Media and Communications, Andrej Pisl, Projects and Policy Director, Hristina Hristova, Projects and Communications Officer, and Lili Urvari, European Solidarity Corps Volunteer.

FISU America was represented by Ines Gomez, FISU America Treasurer, who also closely collaborates with and supports the Media and Communications Department, and Julieta Boschiazzo, Member of the Communications Team. 

The meeting provided an opportunity for both organisations to present their respective communications activities, ongoing projects and working approaches, as well as to exchange views on the day-to-day communication of university sport.
Discussions also focused on common challenges in communicating university sport, engaging student-athletes and promoting upcoming events and activities across different regions.

The shared experiences offered a valuable opportunity to compare communication practices, gain insight into approaches to university sport communications on the other side of the Atlantic, and identify opportunities for further cooperation between the two organisations.

EUSA thanks Ms Gomez and Ms Boschiazzo for the exchange and looks forward to continuing communication and cooperation with FISU America in support of the promotion of university sport internationally.
