One month until EUG2026 bidding ends

The bidding procedure for both the 2025 European Universities Championships and 2026 European Universities Games is still open, though time is running out for parties interested in hosting EUG2026.

Both the Championships and Games form the highlight of the EUSA calendar every year, gathering together thousands of student athletes in several sports competitions while providing an enjoyable, safe and competitive stage for the stars of tomorrow to shine.

The very first EUSA Championship took place in 2001, at first on an annual basis before the introduction of the European Universities Games in 2012. The Games are now held every even-numbered year, and the Championships every odd-numbered year.

EUSA events, especially the European Universities Games, have both a sporting and educational focus, bringing together not only student athletes competing in their sport, but also sports experts and higher education representatives, enabling exchange of experience through various seminars, workshops and conferences accompanying the sports events.

There is just one month left for interested parties to bid for the 2026 European Universities Games, with the deadline for submissions set for September 30, 2021. Interested hosts for the 2025 European Universities Championships have until December 1, 2021 to make known their interest.
