EUSA President visits Cyprus

On the invitation of Mr Michalis Krashias, President of Cyprus University Sports Federation (CUSF), Mr Adam Roczek, President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) paid a visit to Cyprus on June 6 and 7. During the visit, several meetings was held with Cypriot sport authorities.

On the first day, a meeting with President of Cyprus Sport Organization Mr Kleanthis Georgiadis was held. During the meeting, issues related to university sports were discussed and an exchange of views was held to strengthen cooperation and further support for university sport.

The following day, a meeting with Executive Committee of CUSF was conducted. The meeting was attended by also by EUSA Executive Committee member Mr Panos Razis and EUSA Commission members Mr Antonis Petrou and Mr Andreas Demetriou. Mr Roczek presented the outcomes of recently held General Assembly and assured that EUSA is fully committed to respect integrity of its member federations and conducts its operation in accordance with Olympic Charter provisions. CUSF Board confirms its support to the policy of EUSA and showed their interest to host European Universities Championships in 2021.

EUSA President attended 40 years gala of Cyprus Volleyball Federation as a honorary guest where EUSA was awarded with plaque for the long lasting contribution to development of volleyball and beach volleyball in Cyprus.
