EUSA Magazine 2016-17 published
European University Sports Association (EUSA) has published the annual edition of its magazine - the European University Sports Association Year Magazine 2016-17.
In the magazine, published with the extended contents and layout, you will be able to find the welcome address by the EUSA President, current information on the structure of EUSA, including its member associations, Executive Committee, the Commissions and the Secretariat.
The main focus of the latest publication has been given to the European Universities Games. Besides the general overview and the statistics, each of the sports competitions has been introduced, together with the final standings, and rich programme and activities that accompanied the event.
We are especially proud of inclusion of students with disabilities - both in the competition part, as well as in the part of the organising team and volunteers; also as a result of cooperation with the European Paralympic Committee.
The magazine also reports on the events organised under EUSA Patronage, with special focus also given to EUSA Conferences and Meetings, including the EUSA Assembly, Gala, Conventions and EUSA Executive Committee Meetings. Among EUSA projects you will find content on Equal Opportunities, Fair Play, EUSA Volunteer Programme, Photo Competition, Awards, University Sport Exhibition, EUSA Club of Donors, Dual Careers, and the International Day of University Sport (IDUS).
As EUSA is a proud partner in projects and initiatives run or endorsed by the European institutions and agencies, or other partner organisations, receiving support by the European Union, Council of Europe and other institutional bodies, these projects were introduced as well.
Special attention has been given to the report of the European Week of Sport, which was held under the slogan #BeActive in 2016 for the second time, promoting sport and physical activity throughout the EU. Other EU-funded projects where EUSA is a partner in have also been introduced, including the European Voluntary Service (EVS), Strengthening Coaching with the Objective to Raise Equality (SCORE), and Voices for Truth and Dignity (VOICE).
We offer an overview of the most visible events and achievements of the EUSA members and partners, including the International University Sports Federation (FISU), Continental university sports bodies of Africa, Americas, Asia and Oceania, as well as the other EUSA partners and allies, including the European Commission, European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO) and ENGSO Youth, European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), European Paralympic Committee (EPC), European Students’ Union (ESU), European Union of Sports Press (AIPS Europe), Badminton Europe Confederation (BEC), European Bridge League (EBL), European Chess Union (ECU), European Handball Federation (EHF), International Dance Organisation (IDO), International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFCS), European Athlete as Student – Dual Career Network (EAS), and International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
The last chapter of the 156-page publication is the Future programme, promoting the next editions of the European Universities Championships in 2017 and 2019 and the European Universities Games: Coimbra 2018 and Belgrade 2020. The 2017 Calendar of University sports events will give you an overview of the most relevant events in Europe in the current year.

Printed editions are distributed to all EUSA member federations and partners; they will also be available at EUSA events. The digital version of the magazine can be downloaded from the EUSA website.
