EUSA and OC Members became volunteers for a day
Every European University Sports Association (EUSA) event could be the same without the help of incredible volunteers who are vital part of the organization and crucial for the atmosphere on the event. Today we wanted to show how much we appreciate their work and what they are doing for the event. Today EUSA management and Organizing Committee members dressed volunteer uniforms and helped the real heroes of the European Universities Games (EUG) in Coimbra.
Twelve new volunteers showed up in the University sports stadium complex in Coimbra to get their uniforms and to start working. Among them were the president of EUSA, Mr Adam Roczek, Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, and Supervision Commission member Mr Aitor Canibe Sanchez and Mr Dmitriy Kiselev, along with Educational Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman and Chair of the Student Commission Ms Anna Edes.
They were joined by six members of the Organizing Committee (OC), lead by Mr Mario Santos, Secretary General of the OC.
Quickly after receiving their volunteer equipment they got their new tasks and join other volunteers in making the EUG 2018 unfortgetable. Ofcourse, because they did not have raining like the other volunteers they lacked practise doing volunteer tasks.
During their work hours they helped other volunteers by swiping the floors on futsal and basketball events, work as ball boys and ball girls on the rugby 7s court and helped taking down branding.
At the end, they switched back in their roles and left volunteers in doing what they know how to do best.
