MLEA dual career project partners meet in Stockholm

The 2nd hybrid transnational meeting of the project Micro Learning Entrepreneurship for Athlete (MLEA) was held in Stockholm, working on supporting dual career athletes. The main meetings were held on March 10, hosted by the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).

The partners first visited the House of Sport, headquarters of Swedish Sports Confederation (RF), where they were met by their Operations Manager Mr Peter Mattsson who presented the organisations and their activities in developing the Swedish elite sport system.

The meeting continued at the SSE main building, where the MLEA project was discussed in details. Preliminary results of the survey were presented, as well as a draft of the script for education material. Participants also visited SSE's media studio, discussing how to best prepare and film video modules.

MLEA project addresses a gap in the field of entrepreneurial education for athletes in partners’ countries and the EU level in general. Tailor-made modular curriculum on entrepreneurship will be delivered through a micro-learning approach, to help athletes make most of their time and achieve their educational goals. MLEA will integrate gamification elements and will be offered as on-demand service by offering bite-sized, small learning units with the necessary amount of information to help athletes achieve their goals.

The two-year project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, is coordinated by Zagreb School of Economics and Management (CRO), with project partners including Stockholm School of Economics (SWE), WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management (GER), Croatian Olympic Committee (CRO), Olympic Committee of Bosnia (BIH), Olympic Committee of Serbia (SRB), Olympic Committee of Slovenia (SLO) and the EUSA Institute (SLO).
