1. How did you get involved in taekwondo?
I got into the sport by my dad just taking me along to the local taekwondo club, he said I used to do everything with my feet, for example I used to pick up objects with my feet and pass them to him. So, he thought I might have potential in this sport. I never stopped enjoying it and improving and I am at the level I am today.

2. Did you already take part in EUSA events before or is it your first time?
I already took place in EUSA European Universities Games 2022 last year in Lodz and I won a gold medal. However, this time the standard was higher for my category, so it was even sweeter to have won this time around.

3. Otherwise did you compete in other sports events? Which ones?
I have competed in many international 'G' ranking events, these have been across Europe, and I have even competed in Las Vegas for the US open.

4.In which ways is the participation in EUSA sport events is different from the other sport competitions you took part in?
It is a big event with a lot of publicity and posters of the event, this is different to most international competitions I attend which don't advertise and attract as many people.

5.Are you satisfied with your performance/experience at the European Universities Combat Championship this year?
I am satisfied with my performance, there is always a lot to improve upon, but I was happy with my performance to the European Universities Combat championship because I showed a lot of improvement from the last competition.

6.How do you think competing in sports events like the European Universities Championship and Games can help your development as an athlete competing in taekwondo?
Participating in EUSA events is important because these events are such  prestigious international events and it motivates me to do my best to represent University of Nottingham. It also gives me ranking points for future international competitions.

7.Why would you recommend participation in the Championships/Games to other student athletes?
I would definitely recomment, because it is a great experience and great atmosphere when you are around the team and representing the university in such big and great events on a European level.
8. What would be your final message to other student athletes like you?
Keep working hard consistently to achieve your goals.
