Let's celebrate #ErasmusDays 2025
From 13th to 18th October 2025, #ErasmusDays are celebrated across the continent, “6 days to make Europe shine!” as the official tagline states.
These six days offer the opportunity to highlight the Erasmus+ programme and to promote the opportunities it offers in the fields of education, training, youth and sport.
Since its launch in 2017, #ErasmusDays have become a key moment to celebrate European values and the benefits of European cooperation. The theme of this year is indeed “Live our values, inspire our future”. This year's 9th Edition is focused on the six values at the heart of the European Union: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law, and human rights, expression of a common ideal and identity.

The #ErasmusDays are a platform where all stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme can organise both digital and physical events, a good opportunity to promote their projects and build new partnerships. Language exchange meetups, conferences on best practices, workshops on mobility projects, social media challenges, the calendar of this week is full of events for all tastes. Throughout this multitude of events, people from different cultures and backgrounds can connect, share their experiences, learn from each other, and be witnesses to the base principles of the Erasmus+ programme.
EUSA, through its Institute, was and is involved in several projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. To mark the end of this year’s #ErasmusDays, on 18th October, EUSA is hosting in Ljubljana the final meeting of the Fit4Green project and the conference "Beyond the finish line", bringing together Fit4Green and Runners4All - European Students Run; both co-funded by the European Union. The projects promote physical activity and environmental awareness especially targetting students in higher education and campus life.

The following day, the main event of the Runners4All project is taking place: on 19th October, more than 1.900 students from over 30 European countries are participating in the first ever European Students Run. Running is an accessible and inclusive activity, and in this project, it has been chosen as a tool to advocate for lifelong healthy habits, civic engagement through sport, youth empowerment, and an eco-friendly approach.

Other EU-funded projects with active participation of EUSA in 2025 include: European Solidarity Corps (ESC), Erasmus+ Internship, Discovering university sport and supporting dual career (DiscoverU), European Week of Winter Sports (EWWS), European Youth and Sport Together (EUYouSport), Youth Individual Sports Mindset (YouMind), Sports Clubs Integrating Organised Networks (FUSION), Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and Youth Workers Mobility projects.
We are also looking forward to the projects that are foreseen to kick off soon, especially "ESSEPA - European Sport Safeguarding Education and Promotion Action", coordinated by the EUSA Institute. The project will address safeguarding education and trainings for athletes and other participants of sports events, and will be co-funded by the European Union.
EUSA Institute will also partner in the projects "YouthSportCV - Empowering young people to assess their soft skills gained in sports for improving employment opportunities", addressing promotion of employability through sport, also co-funded by the European Union.
Over the years #ErasmusDays have become a recognised event, with thousands of associations benefiting from the Erasmus+ programme strongly involved in organising events. The number of events has, indeed, risen steadily since 2017, overcoming last year for the first time the barrier of 10.000 events in 60 countries.

These events took place all over the world, thanks to the Erasmus+ National Agencies across Europe and to the networks of European embassies and local partners of Erasmus+ projects in other continents. With more than 10.300 events listed on the official website and marked on an interactive map, this year is expected to be an even greater success.
Let’s participate all together in making the European values shine!
