Last GTM of the European Universities Games 2018 (EUG 2018) has come to an end and the last of the 13 sports, rugby 7s will start tomorrow which means that we are counting days till the end of the wonderful competition in Coimbra, Portugal. Besides that we whitnessed very exciting day in the group phase, saw some new medalists and we are reaching the peak of the competition.

At the beginning of the GTM all representatives heard the opening speech by EUSA Sports Director Mr Besim Aliti and OC Sports Director Ms Filipa Godinho introduced all representatives with all necessary information about the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the European Universities Games 2018 (EUG18).

All the groups and schedules you can see at results.eusa.eu.

Today´s Judo competition brought us seven new gold medalists. Competition proved to be very equal and seven different universities are returning home with the gold medal.

Group phase of mens futsal competition concluded yesterday and they deserved their day off and it was the ladies turn to heat up the atmosphere in Jorge Anjinho and Mario Mexia and to fight for their place in the last eight and to continue dreaming one of the medals.

The same situation was also seen in basketball with the small difference - both men and women were competing and we had excitment on both sides. It was nice to see the entire team of 3x3 Basketball champions from University of Pitesti striving to win another medal in Coimbra.

End of the group stage in Football and Football 7 showed the biggest surprise. In both men and women competition we will not see University from Portugal because all three are out after the group stage.

Tomorrow on the schedule we have rugby 7s, men futsal and judo, while others have a day off. You can see all the games and schedules at results.eusa.eu
