Last chance to register for EUC Combat Sports 2026
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) is pleased to announce that the Taekwondo competition at the European Universities Championship Combat Sports Tirana 2026 has been officially awarded G1 ranking status by World Taekwondo.
This prestigious recognition means that athletes competing in the event will have the opportunity to earn official World Taekwondo Ranking points, further enhancing the sporting significance of the Championships and attracting top-level university athletes from across Europe and beyond.
The G1 status reflects the high organisational and technical standards of the event and represents another important milestone for the European Universities Combat Sports Championships 2026.
In addition, registration for the European Universities Championship Combat Sports Tirana 2026 has been extended until 15 July 2026. Registration is open for all four sports featured at the championship: Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, and Taekwondo.

Universities are invited to register their teams and athletes, primarily through their respective National University Sports Associations.
The Championship will take place from 8 to 16 September 2026 in Tirana, Albania. Competition will be held in Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, and Taekwondo, following the new 2+2 competition format, ensuring a well-structured schedule across all disciplines.
