Join the European Week of Winter Sport 2025/26 season!

As good preparation is key to any activity and information received well in advance is often appreciated, partners of the European Week of Winter Sport and the #BeActiveWinter campaign already now invite you to join us in the next winter season.

Partners of the European Week of Winter Sport (EWWS) project, co-funded by the European Union, conceptualised the initiative to be run outside of the project period. At the pre-summer online meeting on July 23, the final preparations before the 2025/26 season launch were discussed and agreed.

Modelled after the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign, the initiative focuses on activities related mainly to snow and ice. Besides getting people physically active and engaged in the winter time, special emphasis is also on sustainability, inclusion, accessibility and community.

After a successful pilot edition in 2025, which brought together over 2000 participants at 36 events in 10 countries, the next edition of the European Week of Winter Sport will take place from 1 to 8 February 2026, involving schools, clubs, municipalities, and sport organizations in across Europe.

The consortium is inviting and looking forward to welcoming new official partners (potential national coordinating bodies and other key stakeholders), as well as event organisers and participants. Please see https://www.wintersportweek.com for details.

At the same time, we would like to remind you that the European Universities Winter Sports Championships will be held in Val di Zoldo between December 15 to 17, featuring Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Snow Volleyball, as well as the EUSA Winter Forum.
