iSport project partners meet online

On the last day of January, the partners of the Inclusion in Sport (iSport) Erasmus+ project met online for another partner’s meeting, for an update on the creation of the serious game and future working tasks.

The iSport Project looks to promote diversity and social inclusion in sport by enhancing the sporting experience of all participants – athletes and volunteers, especially targeting women, LGBTQIA+ and people with disabilities, as well as promoting equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity through increased participation in, and equal access to, sport for all.

Mr Lampros Karavidas, representative of AUTH and one of the creators of the game, explained and presented the finished draft of the scenario based serious game, giving explanation of every step and options that the game offers. The partners had the chance to see the gamificated version of all four scenarios and how can they access different parts of it, such as the leader boards, the mini games and the results table.

The initial first feedback of the representatives of the partner organization was very positive, resulting in a productive discussion of potential future continuation of the project and additional development of the game. This version of the game is currently in process of evaluation by the partners, before it is launched for the greater public.

Wrapping up the meeting, the partners confirmed the dates for the next partners meeting, scheduled to take place in May in Barcelona, Spain and arranged the deadlines for the future working tasks.

The project consortium consists of eight partners from different countries, led by the EUSA Institute (SLO). Project partners include the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation - ENGSO (SWE), European Paralympic Committee - EPC (AUT), European Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation - EGLSF (NED), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - AUTH (GRE), Finnish Paralympic Committee - FPC (FIN), University Sports Association of Poland - AZS (POL), and Panteres Grogues Sports Club (ESP).
