The Dubrovnik Academic Sports Association is preparing to welcome university students from across the region and beyond for the 29th International Student Christmas Tournament, taking place from 17 to 20 December 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The tournament is proudly organized by  Dubrovnik University Sports Association, with collaborative efforts from the Student Centre Dubrovnik, Student Union of Dubrovnik, University of Dubrovnik, and Croatian Academic Sports Federation, and it is held under the patronage of the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

It brings university students together for four days of sport, social activities and cultural experiences in the historic city of Dubrovnik. The tournament features competitions in men’s basketball and women’s volleyball, continuing a tradition that has brought student-athletes together for almost three decades.

The tournament programme will begin on Thursday, 17 December, with the arrival of participating teams, a technical delegate meeting, the official opening and qualification matches. Competition will continue on Friday, alongside a sightseeing visit to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, social activities for team leaders and a student party.

Saturday will feature the final placement matches, as well as additional basketball activities including a three-point and dunk contest. The tournament will conclude with the closing ceremony and another student party, before teams depart Dubrovnik on Sunday.

The final application deadline is 3 November 2026. As places are limited, participation will be secured according to the date of deposit payment.

Beyond the sporting programme, the International Student Christmas Tournament offers participants an opportunity to experience Dubrovnik and connect with students from other universities. Organised student parties will take place throughout the tournament, while the programme also includes a guided tour of the city’s historic Old Town.

With its combination of university sport, social activities and the unique atmosphere of Dubrovnik during the Christmas season, the 29th International Student Christmas Tournament will once again provide an opportunity for students to meet, compete and create lasting memories together.
