Invitation to SELL Games 2022

We are pleased to announce that the Latvian University Sports Federation (LUSF) together with the national university sports federations from Finland, Estonia, and Lithuania will organise the XXXVII SELL Student Games in Latvia. The event will take place from 20th to 22nd of May 2022 in three Latvian cities – Riga, Ogre and Jelgava.

The 37th edition of the SELL Student Games will welcome more than 2000 athletes to compete in 15 disciplines – basketball, 3x3 basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, 7x7 football, floorball, swimming, table tennis, judo, powerlifting, athletics, orienteering, badminton, rugby, and chess. SELL GAMES 2022 competition centre will be located in “Riga Olympic Centre”, however, some competitions will also take place in different gyms around Riga, Ogre stadium and LLU Sports Centre in Jelgava.

We welcome everyone to join in on a tense international student sports event, gain new friends and reach new heights! General registration for the XXXVII SELL Student Games is open!

In cooperation with Latvian sports federations, XXXVII SELL GAMES will ensure epidemiologically safe environment subject to the restrictions set in Latvia and in all sports disciplines. We will follow the developments regarding these restrictions.

SELLGames Sports

The event is held under the patronage of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

SELL Student Games is a multi-sport event that is open for all university and college students all over the world. The name of the games are according to the first letters of the hosting countries, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in their respective languages (Finnish: Suomi, Estonian: Eesti, Latvian: Latvija, Lithuanian: Lietuva) The principles of the games are that everyone can participate and therefore the event combines top sports and joyful student event.

SELLGames 2019 Kaunas

The first edition of the event dates back to 1923, and return to the schedule again this year after a break due to Covid-19 pandemic.
