International NUSF Conference held in Taipei

Taipei hosted the 1st International National University Sport Federations (NUSF) Conference. The event was organized by the Chinese Taipei University Sports Federation (CTUSF) at the Fu-Jen Catholic University on November 20-21, 2018.

The participants, representatives of the National and Continental University Sports Federations from Asia, America, Oceania and Europe were firstly welcomed by Mr Han-Sun Chiang, CTUSF President. “This Conference offers its participants the opportunity to meet university sport leaders and platform to share how different culture with governing policy may develop a variety feature of NUSF,” Mr Chiang stressed.

After, the NUSF representatives from different continents made their presentations. From Europe, Mr Kemal Tamer, President of Turkish University Sport Federation and Mr Marian Dymalski, Vice President of AZS Poland, presented the organisation of the university sport in their countries.

European University Sports Association (EUSA) was also invited to the Conference and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General, presented the EUSA activities and cooperation with its members in Europe, the National University Sports Associations.

As a part of the conference program, the participants also attended the official banquet, and joined the tour of the National Taiwan Sport University and a cultural event.

At the occasion of NUSF Conference, Mr Pecovnik also met and discussed with Mr Shih-Ming You, deputy CEO of the Summer Universiade 2017, which was organised last year in Taipei.
