All you student athletes know what kind of effort is needed to combine top level sport with higher education and most of you choose only one sport. Country of Georgia is a home of an incredible athlete who combines 2 sport with his academic education and he always goes for gold.

Badri Khatiskatsi looks like a regular student but he is very dangerous because he is successful in 2 different sport. He trains Judo (you will see him at EUG 2018), but also he is currently silver medalist from European sumo championship.

-        I got involved in judo when I was 9 years old and I started training sumo wrestling when I was 16. I have to say that those two sports can be combine really successfully and technique used in both sports helps me a lot.

His sumo wrestling career is really really impresive. Since he started at the age of 16 he became really successful.

-        So far I won 9 medals at European Sumo Championship. Currently I am silver medalist from the latest under 22 shampionship and I won one silver and bronze medal in under 16, and 4 medals in under 18. I hope this will continue.

University helps him in a way that he is able to continue to improve both as a judoka and as a sumo wrestler, so for him EUG 2018 is really important.

-        I hope the best. If everything goes well I hope to return to Georgia as a European University Champion.
