HALT project continues its work on safe sport

As part of the three-year project Halting Harassment and Abuse in Sports using Learning Technologies (HALT), project partners held an online meeting on June 18, 2020.

The meeting, which was initially scheduled to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, was undertaken to review the project at its midway point. Discussions surrounding the project’s research element were undertaken, as well as the finalisation of the community practice and serious game platforms.

Group members also discussed the dissemination and evaluation, especially taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic. In the following months, project related platforms will be tested before being launched to the public.

On behalf of the EUSA Institute, the meeting was attended by Mr Andrej Pisl, Communications and Projects Manager, and Ms Amelie Bury, Projects Assistant and ESC volunteer.

Related to the subject matter, EUSA’s Incident Policy, which is also being finalised, will also reflect the topics of harassment and abuse. The European University Sports Association remains committed to providing a sports environment where participants can feel safe and welcome.
