Imagine if you can share the perfect moment with the person you love the most. What can be even better? Perhaps that both of you win gold medals in your categories. And if you got married couple of weeks before the competition than your happiness is priceless.

That is exactly what happened to Polish beach volleyball players Stanislaw Wawrzynczyk and Agata Wawrzynczyk at last years EUSA Beach Volleyball championship in Split. That was their first competition as a married couple and they both won gold medals – Agata in womens, and Stanislaw in mens competition.

-         We first met at volleyball university competition in Poland 2014 and got married couple of weeks before going to Split. – said Stanislaw Wawrzynczyk for EUSA – This is my first EUSA gold medal, second after winning bronze in Larnaca 2015, and for Agata it was a first major competition. We both won the gold and it was a golden honeymoon for us.

Sharing the same interests is nice, and sharing the same passion is even better. There is someone who can help you and to give you necessary advice. Perhaps that was the reason why they both got the gold medal.

-         It is the best point in our relationship that we have the same passion, we can understand each other when we have some problems in volleyball and figure out a solution together. We are very lucky that we have the same job, we can talk about every details what is inside the court and make each other better.

Unfortunately we will not see them at European Universities Games in Coimbra, but perhaps they will have a chance to repeat their success in 2019.
