GETZ project partners connect online

Project partners of the Gender Equality Toolkit for generation Z (GETZ) project met virtually on Friday, May 29 for a meeting to discuss the latest news connected to the project and COVID-19 pandemic, final conference plans and research updates.

As a partner in the project, the EUSA Institute was represented at the meeting by Education and Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman, Communications and Project Manager Mr Andrej Pisl and EUSA Office volunteer Ms Amelie Bury.

Of the various points discussed in the meeting, it was pleasing to receive confirmation that the project’s request for an extension – due to the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic – was granted by the European Commission, meaning the project will now conclude at the end of April 2021.

The final GETZ Conference, which will now take place between April 21-22, 2021 in London, United Kingdom, was then also discussed.

The GETZ project aims to tackle issues around the gender imbalance in sport in relation to leadership and management roles in the industry.

Educating the next generation (Generation Z), raising awareness, acknowledging the need for cultural change and developing aspirations of young people to make an impact in this area is what this project is about.
