GETZ project meeting in Worcester

The partners of the EU-funded project on gender equality - Equality Toolkit for Generation Z (GETZ) met on June 18 in Worcester, United Kingdom, for 2nd Steering Committee Meeting. The European University Sports Association (EUSA) through the EUSA Institute is also partner in the project, and took part in the meeting.

The aim of the first part of the meeting was to discuss the research proposal and ethical consent for initial research study, as well as prepare the timeline for the actions that need to be taken in the frame of the project. In the second part, participants focused on the structure and the content of the GETZ Toolkit units. It was also a chance to discuss the next meeting, to take place at a conference in Zagreb, in November 2018.

The meeting that took place at a Worcester’s Warriors Sixways Rugby Stadium was attended by representatives of the University of Worcester (GBR), Molde University College (NOR), Croatian Olympic Committee (CRO) and EUSA Institute (SLO). They were also joined by delegates from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (NED), Vrije University of Brussels (BEL) and the Swedish Sports Confederation (SWE) on Skype.

Meeting

The objective of the “Gender Equality Toolkit for generation Z (GETZ)” project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, is to develop, deliver and evaluate an innovative educational resource specifically designed to educate Generation Z on the issues relating to gender equality and equal opportunities in sport. The main part of the GETZ toolkit will be implemented in form of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), consisting of unique set of lessons and resources specifically designed to highlight the issue of gender equality in sport in a practical, theoretical and applied way.
