Polish city of Rzeszow welcomed EUSA Assistant Technical Delegate for Volleyball Mrs Ellen Mari Burheim between November 11 and 13, for an inspection visit in preparations for the European Universities Volleyball Championship 2017.

The Organising Committee, lead by its Vice-President Mr Wojciech Bajorek and Secretary General Ms Katarzyna Pado, together with other members, welcomed the EUSA representative, and gave a detailed overview about the preparations for the event.



Accommodations and sport halls were inspected, and organisational aspects of the event organisation discussed in more details, broken down into accommodation, catering, sports venues, ceremonies, medical, referees and other areas.



The Organising Committee also prepared a press conference, and presented the championship to the media. The participants also had the chance to see a volleyball match between Asseco Resovia and GKS Katowice.



The European Universities Volleyball Championship will be taking place between June 25 and July 2, 2017. The registration starts in December; for more information, please see www.volleyball2017.eusa.eu.
