FISU World University Championships 2026 calendar
FISU is actively preparing for the 2026 Championship season, which will feature 20 competitions across 17 countries.
The official 2026 FISU Championships calendar has now been released, with listed dates representing the competition period. Delegations are advised to plan their arrival at least two days prior and their departure one day after the competition.
Dedicated event websites will be launched in the coming months, offering detailed information on services, regulations, competition schedules, and more.
The 2026 FISU World University Championships will feature 20 events across 17 countries. Confirmed competitions include Cross Country (Cassino, ITA – 14–15 March), Finswimming (Sharm El-Sheikh, EGY – 10–11 April), Cheerleading (Gothenburg, SWE – 5–7 June), Combat Sports (Brasilia, BRA – 8–13 June), Handball (Pessac, FRA – 20–27 June), Futsal (Warsaw, POL – 1–7 July), Canoe Sports (Sukoró, HUN – 2–5 July), Padel (Malaga, ESP – 7–11 July), Orienteering (Vila Real, POR – 28 July–1 August), Squash (Mumbai, IND – 3–9 August), Triathlon (Nyon, SUI – 8–9 August), Rowing (London, CAN – 13–15 August), Beach Sports (Figueira da Foz, POR – 18–23 August), Modern Pentathlon (Madrid, ESP – 27–30 August), Rugby Sevens (Stellenbosch, RSA – 4–6 September), Weightlifting (Doha, QAT – 8–12 September), and Shooting Sport (New Taipei, TPE – 27–31 October).

While most event dates are already confirmed, dates for Cycling (Zhangjiakou, CHN), Mind Sports (Liaocheng, CHN), Sport Climbing (Bangkok, THA), and additional events in Padel, Golf, Powerlifting, and Sailing are not yet officially confirmed.
