FISU University World Cup 3X3 Basketball opens in Doha

From 10 to 12 November, Doha (QAT) will host the 2023 FISU University World Cup 3×3 Basketball.
This 7th edition of the FISU Cup 3x3 Basketball features 12 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams from 17 countries that will compete for the top of the podium over the following three days.

The last edition took place in Istanbul, where the Paulista University (BRA) team had won for the men and Chinese Culture in University (TPE) for the women.

We wish good luck to the teams competing, especially to the team of University of Valencia (ESP), Vytautas Magnus University (LTU), Summy State (UKR) for the men’s team and Precarpathian University (UKR), University of Pitesti (ROU) for the women’s team, who will represent European Universities. 3x3 Basketball is a game where 3 people against 3 players and one substitute.It’s possible to play on different surfaces, the tournament can take place on asphalt, concrete or an existing/temporary court. The breaks are very short because there is not half-time and not quarter time. A game lasts 10 minutes, with a chronometer for the shock of 12 seconds.

These fast-paced games, which end after the time limit or when a team reaches 21 points, get going on Friday in Doha with the first a women’s matchup at 10:00am in Doha (12:00am CET).University students-players from all around the world will take part in the competition to be crowned the FISU World Cup 3x3 Basketball champions.
