FISU selects the Young Reporters for Krasnoyarsk 2019

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) announced the six selected participants for the 5th FISU Young Reporters Programme at the 29th Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk.

The selection was carried out by the FISU Media & Communication Committee Chaired by FISU 1st Assessor Ms Verena Burk. "FISU is delighted to host the Young Reporters Programme for the first time at a Winter Universiade. The applications of the selected international YR were at a high level and we are convinced that we have found promising candidates with high motivation and outstanding skills," Ms Burk commented.

The coming edition's Young Reporters once again come from five different continents.  In the five editions, 54 aspiring journalists from 29 countries have been selected to join the aspiring journalists to join the programme.

Among the current participants, the European representative Peter Lynch (GBR) commented: "I am both extremely honoured and excited to be heading to Krasnoyarsk for the 29th Winter Universiade, and hugely look forward to what the FISU Young Reporters Programme has in store. It’s a fantastic feeling to be selected from such a large group of applicants, and I am thrilled to be able to participate in this experience with others who share similar skills and aspirations. This will be my first time travelling to Russia, and so I look forward to experiencing a vastly different culture, while the prospect of meeting new people and trying new things also excites me."
