The International University Sports Federation (FISU) hosted a series of online meetings end of September and beginning of October with the Continental University Sports Federations, FISU associate members.

The first meetings were held on September 28, targeted to the Presidents and Secretaries General of the Continental University Sports Federations (CUSF) in Africa (Federation of Africa University Sports - FASU), Americas (FISU America), Asia (Asian University Sports Federation - AUSF), Europe (European University Sports Association - EUSA) and Oceania (FISU Oceania). EUSA was represented at the meeting by its President Mr Adam Roczek and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik.



Participants were welcomed by the FISU Acting President Mr Leonz Eder and Secretary General Mr Eric Saintrond, who updated the participants with the key information related to the FISU sports events, including the Summer University Games Chengdu and Winter Universiade Lucerne. The participants also received updates on the FISU General Assembly, which will be held end of October in an online form, as well as with the IDUS overview and the planned calendar for 2022. Representatives of the continental federations shared their general updates and plans for the upcoming period.



Second set of meetings were held in form of a CUSF seminar, which was held online on October 6 and 7, and was targeted to the staff working in the continental university sport governing bodies across the continents. EUSA was represented at the seminar by its Education and Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman, Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, and Sports Manager Mr Miha Zvan.



After the welcoming remarks from FISU Acting President Mr Leonz Eder, Secretary General Mr Eric Saintrond and Director General Mr Paulo Ferreira, the representatives of continental federations were given a chance to present the projects and activities of the current year, sharing also the challenges of having activities in the Covid-19 period, and to give their reports on the celebrations of IDUS in their continents. FISU also presented preliminary numbers and analysis of the events and celebrations in 2021, with some events still to be organised. The following day CUSF Projects, with changes in the application process for the upcoming year, were presented. Representatives of FISU presented in detail the FISU calendar for 2022 which will be busy with sport and educational events.
