The second edition of the FISU Strategic Dialogue between FISU and its Continental Member Federation FISU America was held in Bogota, Colombia on May 21-22, 2019.

The strategic dialogue was organized with the support of the Columbian University Sports Federation (ASCUN), and was attended by the representatives of FISU, National University Sports Associations – members of FISU America, as well as representatives of Continental University Sports Federations. European University Sport Association (EUSA) was represented at the dialogue by its Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik. The event was officially opened by the 1st Vice-President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Mr Leonz Eder and FISU America President Mr Alim Maluf Neto.



In the main panel, the representatives of FISU and its Continental University Sports Federations from America, Asia and Europe shared their perspective regarding organization of university sports and educational events, international cooperation, gender equality and social responsibility projects. In the continuation of the dialogue, the National University Sports Federations presented their projects and programs that have been updated in line with the objectives of the FISU Global Strategy 2027.



At the end of the event, FISU America President Mr Neto thanked EUSA for participating at the event and sharing valuable experiences with FISU America member federations, and presented Mr Pecovnik a commemorative gift.



The participants of the Strategic Dialogue also had the opportunity to be part of the Opening Ceremony of the XVII Central America and Caribbean University Games in Tunja, and share memorable moments with the athletes from their countries.
