Fair Play award up for grabs at EUC2019

The European Universities Championships 2019 are just around the corner, with our first two events beginning this Sunday, yet at EUSA, our championships are about more than just the action on the field or court.

Embedded in the EUSA statutes is our objective to “encourage and support the promotion of ethics, Fair Play, gender equity and good governance in sport as well as education of university students through sport”.

The Enno Harms Fair Play Award is an annual prize which takes into account a fair play gesture or situation during a EUSA sporting event which stands out above the rest.

Named after the first EUSA President, the late Enno Harms who was very much devoted to fair play, all participants – including athletes, coaches and referees – are in line for this award which encourages sportsmanship and good spirit in accordance with EUSA’s values and aims.
