2nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Latina, the youngest Italian City situated 70km southern to Rome, hosted the 2nd European University Futsal Championship. This year 15 university teams, national university champions from 13 European countries came to Italy.
The matches played at the tournament were on a very high level; especially the games for the medals. The finals were the same as last year. University of Split (CRO) got a chance to get even with the University of Novi Sad (SCG), who won last year. Six minutes before the end of the match, it looked they would succeed, since they were leading with 3:1. But then the Serbians gave 3 goals and defended the title of the best university team in Europe.
