EUSA working visits in Portugal

On 15th of February, representative of EUSA continued his working visit to Braga, the hosting city of the European Universities Championship in Volleyball. The competition will take place from 16-23 of July.  

After the Inspection Visit in November, EUSA Sports Manager Mr Miha Zvan, paid Braga a visit, to check up the ongoing preparations. This visit was led by Mr Pedro Almeida, Secretary General of UMinho, and other representatives of the Organisational Committee including Mr Marco Oliveira. 

Starting with visiting few sports venues including the SC Braga Sports Complex, the potential accommodation venues such as Lloyd Braga Residence and Sta. Tecla Braga Residence, Mr Miha Zvan had the chance to personally see the multiple ongoing preparations. The team also visited the city centre, which is planned to be the location for the Opening Ceremony.

On the agenda was also a visit of the UMinho Sport Complex, where the premises of the  GTM room and EUSA Office are planned to be. To wrap up the visit, Mr Miha Zvan had an evaluation meeting with the members of the Organisational Committee. 

On the way to Braga, EUSA Sports Manager Mr Miha Žvan had the chance to visit the headquarters of the Portugal University Sport Federation - FADU  in Aveiro, where they met with the President of FADU Mr Ricardo Nora and the Secretary General Mr Armenio Coelho.

The group also visted the premises of the Casa do Estudante-Atleta da FADU, in Aveiro, having a guided tour of the Portuguese University Sports Museum, which was inaugurated last November.

EUSA thanked the OC for the hospitality, positively evaluating the ongoing preparations, believing that the event will reach a great success.
