International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) and the European University Sports Association (EUSA) held an online meeting on October 19, 2021.

EUSA was represented by its Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik and Sports Manager Mr Miha Zvan, IFMA was represented by its Director Ms Charissa Tynan and Secretary General Mr Stephan Fox, with presence also of the President of the Polish Muaythai Federation Mr Rafal Szlachta, who serves also as Vice President of IFMA.



The participants discussed the mutual interest of cooperation, preparation for a Memorandum of Understanding, introducing Muay Thai (sometimes referred to as Thai boxing) as an additional combat sport at the European Universities Games 2022 in Lodz, Poland.
