With great sadness, we learned of the passing of Romano Isler, esteemed Full Professor of General Mathematics at the University of Trieste, long-time President of CUS Trieste, Vice President of the Italian University Sport Federation, and former Executive Committee member of the European University Sports Association.
Mr Isler is considered one of the most prominent figures in the history of national and international university sport: he was a member of the central bodies of CUSI for more than 30 years and served as Vice President from 1996 to 2001. He also served on the EUSA Executive Committee (2012–2016), where he contributed to promoting university sport in Italy and across Europe.
