EUSA meets with Ju-Jitsu representatives
As part of the European Universities Combat Sports Championships 2025 in Warsaw, representatives from the Ju-Jitsu community were warmly welcomed to explore the event and its organization.
During their visit, Robert Perc, President of the Ju-Jitsu European Union, and Joachim Thumfart, General Director of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation, toured sports venues and gained insight into operational aspects of the championships.
Productive meetings were held with EUSA President Adam Roczek, Director of Sports Events Liam Smith, and Sports Manager Miha Zvan, focusing on strengthening mutual understanding between the respective organizations.

The discussions highlighted shared goals such as supporting the European university Ju-Jitsu community and identifying possible areas for collaboration in the future.
The Ju-Jitsu International Federation, already recognized by FISU, continues to grow its presence within the university sports movement. Looking ahead, conversations also touched on the expected presence of Ju-Jitsu at the sports programme of the 2026 FISU World University Championship in Brazil.
This meeting marked an important step toward building stronger ties and ensuring the continued growth of Ju-Jitsu within the European university sport framework.
