EUSA meets with European Judo Union

On the occasion of the Opening Ceremony of this year's European Universities Combat Championships in Zagreb, representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) had a working meeting with representatives of the European Judo Union (EJU). 

More than 1300 participants from nearly 400 universities from 31 European countries have arrived in Zagreb on Wednesday to participate in the European Universities Championships in Combat Sports. They are competing in judo, karate, kickboxing and taekwondo.

On the day of the Opening Ceremony 20 of July in Zagreb, EJU President Dr László Toth, together with EJU General Treasurer Mr Envic Galea and CJF President Dr Sanda Corak had a very successful and productive meeting with the EUSA delegation with its President Mr Adam Roczek, 1st Vice-President Mr Haris Pavletic and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik. 

Both EUSA and EJU used the opportunity to express satisfaction with the cooperation so far and to discuss two important proposals for the future, conserning common cooperation in University areas for ‘safe fall’ techniques and self-defence education for students.

Throughout the meeting, it was stated that is of big importance for the European Judo Union their participation as a member and supporters of the European Universities Games and Championships, as well as the partnership and colaboration with EUSA.
