The International University Sports Federation (FISU) hosted this year's annual seminar with the Continental University Sports Federations (CUSF) on August 29 and 30 in Östersund, following a very successful edition of the FISU World Forum. Conceived as an operational meeting with key CUSF staff members, the seminar saw the European University Sports Association (EUSA) actively represented by its Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik, Director of Projects and Policy Andrej Pisl, and Education Officer Milia Molinie.

At the seminar, heads of key operational areas within FISU delivered presentations on their respective fields, providing updates followed by a Q&A and discussion round. This format was specifically utilized for gathering CUSFs' views and positions.

Attendees were welcomed and introduced to the objectives of the seminar by FISU Secretary General & CEO Matthias Remund. The sessions provided updates on the Global Calendar, the upcoming new platform WorldUniversity.Sport, Communications Network, Branding, FISU Master Programme and the Academic Conference. Presentations and discussions also covered the topics on Dual Career friendly universities, Healthy Campus, Step-up Programme, and FISU World Forum. The Sustainability Framework, as well as the Global Strategy and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were also discussed.

The Sunday session focused on the reports and updates from the continental university sport bodies from five continents: Africa (Federation of African University Sports - FASU), Americas (FISU America), Asia (Asian University Sports Federation - AUSF), Europe (European University Sports Association - EUSA), and Oceania (FISU Oceania). Before the seminar's conclusion, a dedicated open discussion period covering CUSFs' feedback and priorities was also held.

The event wrapped up with closing remarks, group pictures, and a social programme, concluding with a farewell dinner.
